Fix fibro pain with this inexpensive vitamin

Imagine pain on a scale you never thought possible -- pain that hits multiple parts of your body, out of the blue, and all at once.

But if you have fibromyalgia, there's no imagination necessary.

The pain is real, and constant -- and along with the pain, there's fatigue, disability, stress, anxiety, depression and more. But a new study of vitamin benefits might offer you some relief.

A nightmare? You bet it is. But it's one you can wake up from -- because there are natural solutions that can ease or even eliminate the pain of fibromyalgia.

Start with vitamin D. It's the first nutrient I recommend to my own fibro patients, and new research backs my approach, showing how vitamin D  benefits ease pain, restore physical function and fight morning fatigue.

In the study, just six months of D supplements did the trick for a full year -- but if you want even better results, don't stop at six months.

Take a vitamin D supplement every day.

I recommend at least 2,000 IUs per day, but if your D levels are especially low (as is often the case with fibromyalgia), you'll need more. Speak to your doctor to find out the best amount for you.

But while vitamin D benefits can help, they're  not a cure. In the new study, for example, it eased the pain, but it didn't eliminate it. And it did nothing for the anxiety and depression that often accompany fibromyalgia.

Other nutrients that can help include D-ribose, magnesium, SAMe and 5-htp -- but the one thing that can help most isn't a nutrient (and it's certainly not a drug).

It's a doctor who actually knows what he's doing when it comes to fibromyalgia.

Unfortunately, they're not easy to find.

Some doctors (especially mainstream docs) won't even acknowledge that the condition is real. Others "treat" it with painkillers and antidepressant drugs, which come with risks and do nothing to correct the underlying causes.

But fibro often does have a cause or even multiple causes. I've found more than a dozen factors that can contribute to fibromyalgia, including food allergies, stress, viral infections and exposure to metals (especially mercury).

Treat the causes, and you can treat -- or even cure -- the disease.

I recommend working with a skilled holistic doctor experienced in working with fibromyalgia patients. And if you're in Southern California, I have years of experience treating this disease, and doing it without dangerous drugs.

For now, let's get back to vitamin D benefits -- because there's another condition where it can work wonders.
