These nutrients put the brakes on advanced vision loss

It's the science-backed CURE for one of the leading causes of vision loss among American seniors.

It isn't a painful injection... it requires zero appointments... and it will cost you just pennies a day.

New research backs a simple supplement blend you can buy at any store that's so powerful, it can fight age-related macular degeneration (AMD) even if you're in the dangerous, advanced stages of the disease.

And it works so well that the study finds it's more cost-effective than drugs!

Don't get me wrong -- when you're at risk of going blind, you'd probably be willing to pay any price to save your vision.

It's no time to be a cheapskate, right?

But the new study finds you can save a little cash AND get big-time results by going with a vision-protecting antioxidant blend that includes essentials such as vitamins C and E.

AMD often starts as the "dry" form of the disease -- and with quick treatment and good nutrition, it can often be stopped right then and there, especially if you catch it early enough.

But in roughly 10 to 15 percent of cases, it can advance to the "wet" form, which is far more severe and can lead to disabling levels of vision loss, especially in the later stages.

That's when you need help most.

And according to the new study, that's exactly when the supplements are at their best, often providing even bigger benefits at the later stages of the disease, slowing it down so you can hold on to your vision longer.

They actually tested two blends. One contained the basics plus beta carotene, while the other contained lutein, zeaxanthin, and omega-3 fatty acids in place of the beta carotene.

Of course, the best option of all is to not reach that point to begin with.

The new study doesn't look at prevention, but many of the same nutrients can step in and cut your risk of ever developing these vision-robbing conditions in the first place.

Fish oil supplements rich in omega-3s, for example, can cut the risk of the "wet" form of AMD by 35 percent and the dry form by 32 percent, according to one study.

Lutein, zeaxanthin, and other carotenoids can also protect your eyesight to help preserve your quality of life as you grow older. Look for a quality blend that contains all of these nutrients.
